Rajmachi (Udhewadi) is a small village in the rugged mountains of Sahyadri. The fortification at Rajmachi consists of two forts , namely Shrivardhan fort and Manaranjan Fort. Rajmachi Fort is a popular trekking destination. It is a very famous fort located near two famous hills of Maharashtra, Lonavala and Khanadala.
It height from sea level is 2710 feet. It offers an amazing view of the Sahyadri mountains and the backwaters of Shirota Dam.
Rajmachi with its two peaks Shrivardhan and Manoranjan, is an ideal destination for trekking. Ruins of forts, water falls, temples and the ancient Buddhist caves on the way beacon the trekker through dense forests presenting a mixture of history and nature which makes Rajmachi a much sought after trekking destination. Trek to Rajmachi during monsoon is most adventurous and challenging. Udhewadi is the base of Rajmachi fort trek.
