#ashokasays Did you know 60:
I'm sure all of us had Parle G biscuits atleast a few hundreds so far.. Parle-G, probably the first biscuit we enjoyed as kids, though many varieties entered our snack box later, Parle-G still remains our favourite. Whether it's a morning tea or quick break at work, Parle-G is the best and easiest (and least expensive) option we can have.
1. Parle Products was established as an company in Vile Parle, Mumbai in 1929.
First they used to sell orange candies and other confectioneries.
2. It was only in 1939, that they started making biscuits and expanded the product category.
It was then called Parle's Gluco biscuits.
3. The company kept prices unchanged for over a decade - between 1996 and 2006. Even though the prices of raw materials such as wheat, sugar and milk escalated up to 150 percent.
4. In 2013, Parle-G became India's first domestic FMCG brand to cross รข‚¹ 5,000 crore in retail sales.
It was then called Parle's Gluco biscuits.
5. Parle has 4 factories all over India and they are the biggest biscuit manufacturing units in India.
6. 4551 people around the world are eating Parle-G at this moment
Yes that's the number of people who eat Parle-G every second throughout the world.
7. 1 Billion packets of Parle-G are produced monthly.
HAVE A PARLE G... WHY DUNK OTHER BISCUITS JI?
